Dinesh Kumar (born 1979)
Dinesh Kumar also known as Dinesh Kumar Meel,[1] is a professor and dean of the school of chemical sciences at the Central University of Gujarat. Kumar has authored or co-authored over 90 articles in journals of international repute, three books, over seven dozen book chapters, and 70 presentations at national and international conferences.[2]

Early life and education
Kumar was born on in Khatushyamji, Rajasthan, into a Jat family and did his primary education in Mandha, Rajasthan.[1] Kumar completed his MSc in chemistry in 2002 and obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Rajasthan in 2006.[3]
Career
In 2007, Kumar joined Banasthali Vidyapith as an assistant professor and was promoted to associate professor in 2011.[4] In 2017, Kumar joined the Central University of Gujarat as an associate professor and was later appointed as a professor in 2020. Currently, he holds the positions of professor and dean at the Central University of Gujarat.[5][6]

Recognition
Kumar has been listed to the "WORLD TOP 2% SCIENTIST" list by Stanford University for consecutive four years.
He was listed in the "TOP 2%" list for the first time in 2021 and then in 2022, 2023 and 2024 respectively.[7]
