PTC Industries Limited started as a modest small scale industry in 1963 as Precision Tools & Castings Private Limited, and has evolved into an internationally acclaimed foundry. PTC was amongst the first investment casting foundry in India and offers a number of molding processes today.[1] The equity shares of PTC Industries Ltd (Scrip Code: 539006) are listed and admitted to dealings on the Exchange in the list of 'T' Group Securities.
History
PTC Industries creates casts and specialised products from stainless steel and high-alloys melted into moulds, and has been doing so for 51 years. The business went through tough times in the late 1990s when China became the main international manufacturing hub for foundries.[2]
Products
The company manufactures industrial castings of various grades of steel/stainless steel and super alloys viz. Cobalt/Nickel/Tungston based metallurgy. The castings manufactured by the company are used in various industries viz. valves and pipe fittings, pumps, cement, fertilizer, chemicals and petro-chemicals, thermal and nuclear power, mining and geology, railways, road and sea transport etc.
Financials
Today, PTC Industries’ net worth stands at Rs. 109.06 crore, according to the promoters, with revenues of Rs 122 crore for FY2014.
