The film is being co-produced by Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Productions and Amazon Prime Video.[4][5] This makes it the first Prime Video Bollywood production in India.[6][7] Aruna Bhatia, Akshay Kumar's mother, was one of the producers. She passed away in September 2021.[8] Chandraprakash Dwivedi is a creative producer.[4]
Filming
The official announcement of the film was made on 14 November 2020[9][10] and principal photography began on 30 March 2021.[11][12] The shooting of the film was temporarily halted because on 4 April 2021, Akshay Kumar tested COVID-19 positive.[13] In October 2021 the crew completed shooting in Ooty.[14] By 5 December 2021, shooting in Diu was complete.[14]
