Khuman Pokpa (Old Manipuri: ꯈꯨꯃꯟ ꯄꯣꯛꯄ), also spelt as Khuman Apokpa (Meitei: ꯈꯨꯃꯟ ꯑꯄꯣꯛꯄ), is the ancestral deity (apokpa) of the Khuman clan.[1][2][3] He is regarded as the progenitor god of the Khuman dynasty.[4] Among many, one of his foremost pantheons is located in Mayang Imphal, the ancient capital of the Khuman kingdom.[5][6] In ancient times, village people used to worship the God to get blessings of good health and prosperity.[7]
