Khoriphaba
"Khoriphaba" (Meitei: ꯈꯣꯔꯤꯐꯥꯕ) is a primordial deity in Meitei mythology and Meitei religion. He is the son of the sky God Soraren. Legend says he came down from heaven to earth to seek his mother and a lady love.[1] He is best known for having wrestling with Loyalakpa in the sacred festival of Lai Haraoba.[2] During his worship, cooked foods could be offered but devotees are not allowed to offer fish.[3] He is equivalent to Varuna of Hindu mythology.[4]
