The Meitei Wikipedia (Meitei: ꯃꯩꯇꯩ ꯋꯤꯀꯤꯄꯦꯗꯤꯌꯥ) or Manipuri Wikipedia (Meitei: ꯃꯅꯤꯄꯨꯔꯤ ꯋꯤꯀꯤꯄꯦꯗꯤꯌꯥ) or Meetei Wikipedia (Meitei: ꯃꯤꯇꯩ ꯋꯤꯀꯤꯄꯦꯗꯤꯌꯥ) is the Meitei language edition of Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia.[1] It is the first and the only Indian wikipedia from the Sino-Tibetan language family. Its Incubator form was started in the year 2018 and became a complete Wikipedia in the year 2021. Till now, it has articles.[2]
Milestones
Meitei Wikipedia was launched on 22nd of February, 2021, with more than 2000 articles from its former Wikimedia Incubator status.
