Kumari Shyama Sharma (25.03.1947 -21.09.2020) was an Indian politician who served as Minister of Panchayati Raj, Law, Food and Civil Supplies (1977-79) in Himachal Government,State President of Janta Party(1978-83) Chairperson of Public Accounts Committee (1980-84), National General Secretary of Janta Dal (S) (1990-95). Joined BJP in 1996 ,Chairperson of Finance Commission Himachal (1998), Chairperson of Planning Board Himachal (1998-2003). Was three times member of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the [[Nahan (Vidhan Sabha constituency)1977,1982,1990. Arrested under MISA during National Emergency 1975-77 (only female in North India to be arrested during National Emergency),Firebrand Leader,LL.B,M.A. Sociology and Political Science, started career as Advocate in Nahan |Nahan constituency]] in Sirmaur district.[1][2][3]
