Psycho Muhammad or Prof. Elayidath Muhammad is the first psychologist in Malayalam and a leading psychiatrist and author. He has published numerous articles and essays on psychology. The story of KG George's first film, Swapnadanam, is an event in Psycho's clinical experience.[1][2]
He was born in 1935 in Marancheri, Malappuram district to Ahmedunni Muslyar and Mariakutty. He educated at Tirurangadi Yatheenkhana, M.I.High School Ponnani and Farook College. He obtained his Master's degree in Psychology from Madras Presidency College in 1958. He graduated from NIMHANS, Bangalore in 1962 with a degree in Clinical Psychology.[3] Psycho Muhammad was a member of the group that was to form the Shastra Sahitya Parishad.[4]
