Engineer started his career as Product Engineer with Cadila Laboratories and worked there for two and half years. With this strive to create something of his own, he left his job and ventured in the distributorship of Isabgol constipation remedy. But soon he had to shut it down.
Engineer established Astral pipes in 1996, with the aim to manufacture polymer based plumbing and drainage systems. In 1998, he launched CPVC Piping for the first time in India. Initial a few years were struggling for him as these pipes were expensive as compared to the conventional Galvanized Iron pipes.
Engineer took up the challenge and put serious efforts to educate and develop the market for CPVC pipes & fittings. With slow and steady acceptance in the market, Astral pipes emerged as a leading player and maintained a commanding presence across markets with its world class CPVC pipes and fittings.
In 2014, Engineer diversified his business and ventured into Adhesive category manufacturing a wide range of adhesives, sealants, putties and construction aids. Engineer is married to Jagruti and lives in Ahmedabad with his two sons, Kairav and Saumya.
