Rup Singh is an American real estate broker from New York. Rup is known all throughout New York [1] including being one of Americas Top 100 Real Estate Agents of 2019.[2]
Early Life
Rup was born and raised in Westchester, New York to immigrant parents from Punjab, India. Ever since he was young, he would always strive to be great.[3] This showed especially in high school where he was an All-Star pitcher. As high school was coming to an end Rup thought about entering the medicine field. He decided on going to the prestigious school, Boston University a private research university located in Boston, Massachusetts.[4] Attending this college would prove to be a staple in his career. During his time attending Boston University, Rup discovered himself and where his true passion lies. He fell out of love with medicine and would completely change his career and work in real estate.[5]
Career
Rup decided to enter the world of real estate as sales agent in 2014[6]. One of the reasons Rup was drawn into real estate was not the money but to help families achieve the American dream, “Instead of chasing the money, he started to chase his passion for selling homes and helping families achieve the American dream of owning a home”.[7] The parents of Rup were not so approving of the major career switch so Rup had to prove to them and himself that he could be successful. While working on his career as a real estate agent, Rup had to work at a Men’s Warehouse location where he would sell suits to customers. At the end of 2014 Rup had earned only $5,000. Rup had to work much harder to make real estate his full-time career.
