Description in Mahabharata or mentions
She is described by her mother-in-law Gandhari to Krishna, about being a beautiful princess how she believed Dushasana, her husband, he promised Chandramukhi that he'll take good care of her. Maids were kept to look after Dushasana's wife.
Therefore, the marriage of Dushasana and Chandramukhi echoes the marriage of Duryodhana , Mayuri and Bhanumati. Gandhari says to Krishna,
Behold, the wife of Dushasana, the mother of Drumasena and Bharata, the woman who sorrows for her husband and her two sons, the daughter of King Ashwinraja and Queen Suchitra Devi, the cousin of Bhanumati, her sorrows were only a divine love for Dushasana, her husband
— Gandhari, Translated By Kisari Mohan Ganguli
