Dharmavati is the wife of Dhrishtadyumna in some legends. She is also known as the cousin sister of Bhanumati, the fourth wife of Duryodhana.

She is one of the wives of Dhrishtadyumna. Dhritarashtra who was very fond of Duryodhana's marriage, wanted Dharmavati to marry him but she wrote a letter to Dhrishtadyumna and he kidnapped her. The purohits give this message to Duryodhana. Duryodhana with Karna find out where is Dharmavati and tried to kidnap her, later she married Dhrishtadyumna in a splendid ceremony.

Birth
She was the daughter of Dhanraja. When she grew up, her father was worried about her marriage and was thinking about a groom who loved his daughter, Dharmavati.
Marriage
Her father Dhanraja held a swayamvara, in that he invited Duryodhana, Dushasana, Dhrishtadyumna, and many other warriors. Dushasana, seeing her beauty got mesmerized on her and also Duryodhana. Dharmavati didn't like the way the Kaurava saw her in a shameful manner. The maidservants gave Princess Dharmavati a garland and her father asked her to go and put the garland on the prince which you like. When she came across Duryodhana, Duryodhana said, "O dear Dharmavati, put the garland on me.", but Dharmavati refused to put the garland and went to Dushasana, he did the same thing with her and she gain rejected, when she came to Dhrishtadyumna, her eyes were filled with joy and happiness and she put the garland on Dhrishtadyumna and he took her to Hastinapura happily.
