Deri Lorus (born 29 October 2001) is an Indian record producer and audio engineer[1] who predominantly works on Tamil gospel music industry.[2]

Early Life

Born and brought up in Chennai, India. Deri Lorus started playing music at the age of 13.[3] He began taking piano keyboard lessons as a kid. Deri started off on the keyboard and guitar along with his brother, Dan Emil Joshua.[4] At the age of 15, he started playing for various audiences at church programs and Christian events. For his school band, he tried his hands at the Guitars and Keyboard.[5] He was the keyboardist of the St. John's Matriculation Higher Secondary School Alwarthirunagar|St. John's Matriculation Higher Secondary Schools Alwathirunagar[6] band. By the year 2019, He joined the sound engineering at Oasis Studio, Chennai, India. Deri started playing at the Bethel Christian Assembly[7] every Sunday. He drew inspiration watching various leading musicians in the city at work. Deri spent hours jamming with friends and experimenting with different sounds and styles. He and his brother together own a Record label called D Flat Records.[8][9] He soon realized his passion and started to pursue his career in music.[10]

Career

Deri Lorus started his career at 2018 as a Music producer. In 2018, Deri Lorus did a instrumental cover of the song Awesome God[11] which was written by An American Singer Rich Mullins[12][13] Puthiya Kaariyam (2020) by Ebenezer Charles was the first song by their own Record Label D Flat Records.[14]

Personal Life

Deri learnt music very sooner and had the capable to handle both studies and music at the same instance. He was studied in St. John's Matriculation Higher Secondary School Alwarthirunagar.
