Pramila Jayapal (/prəˈmɪlə ˈəpɑːl/; born September 21, 1965) is an American politician and activist. She is the U.S. Representative from Washington's 7th congressional district since 2017. She is a member of the Democratic Party. She is the first Indian-American woman to serve in the House of Representatives.[1]
