Muhammad Ishaaq (1901-1969) was born in Muzaffarnagar, a city in Uttar Pradesh.[1] He was a Qasida, Masnavi, Ruba'i, Nazm and Ghazal writer.[citation needed] He spent his life in Muzaffarnagar where he studied Persian and Arabic and later taught these languages at the local Islamiya Inter College.[citation needed] He was a disciple of Seemab Akbarabadi.[citation needed] Two collections of his poems (mainly ghazals), titled Salsabil and Kausar o Tasniim, have been published.[2]
