"Nongpok Ningthou" is a primordial deity in Meitei mythology and religion. He is the presiding deity of the eastern direction.[1] Legend says Nongpok Ningthou and Panthoibi got united, in the Nongmaiching hills (Langmai hills),[2][3] and later venerated as the civilization giving deities in the Meitei religion.[4][5]
