An Apokpa (Meitei: ꯑꯄꯣꯛꯄ; Bengali: অপোক্পা) or an Apokpi (Meitei: ꯑꯄꯣꯛꯄꯤ; Bengali: অপোক্পী) is an ancestral deity belonging to one particular clan or family, often prevailed in the Meitei religion (Sanamahism).[1] Almost all the clans and the families of the Meitei ethnicity worship their ancestors having separate pantheons dedicated to them.[2][3][4][5]
