Masood TP (born 3 July 1983) is an Indian film producer, executive producer and former finance controller who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry.[1] He is known for producing Diwanjimoola Grand Prix (2018) and for his work on films including Adaminte Makan Abu (2011), Pathemari (2015), Anomie (2026), Justice for Jeni, and Thattum Vellattam.
Career
Masood TP began his career in the Malayalam film industry as a finance controller.[2]
One of his earliest notable projects was Adaminte Makan Abu, directed by Salim Ahamed. The film received widespread critical acclaim and was selected as India's official entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.[3]
He later worked on Pathemari, another Salim Ahamed film that received critical acclaim and won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam.
Masood made his debut as a producer with Diwanjimoola Grand Prix, directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon and starring Kunchacko Boban, Nyla Usha and Vinayakan.[4][5]
The film was released on 5 January 2018 and received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its humour and local flavour.[6]
He later served as executive producer and co-producer of the Malayalam mystery thriller Anomie, directed by Riyas Marath and starring Bhavana and Rahman.[7][8]
Masood has also been associated with the Tamil film Justice for Jeni as executive producer and the Malayalam film Thattum Vellattam as producer. Thattum Vellattam attracted media attention after the addition of Asif Ali and Soubin Shahir to the cast.[9]
