The Nizam-e-Islam Party, also known as Nizam-e-Islam (Bengali: নেজামে ইসলাম, Devanagri: नेजामे इसलाम ), is a religious-political party active in Bangladesh and Pakistan. Founded in 1952 in Kishoreganj by Islamic scholars from the then East Bengal, Pakistan, it emerged as an offshoot of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam. The party was one of four political parties that formed the United Front alliance, which successfully defeated the Muslim League in the 1954 elections.
