Khati is a Dalit carpenter caste found primarily in Haryana. They are classified as an Other Backward Class caste, and use Jangra or Jangir title but not all Jangras are khati, some are Brahmin and some are Vishwakarma too.^[1]^[2]

Jangir (rajasthan) has come from the saptarshis (the seven rishis), Angiras = jangir, which are predominantly in Rajasthan and due to bold accent usage of haryana jangra is used. This is a Brahmin clan. The usage of word jangir/jangra has nothing to do with carpentry. In previous eras due to the kinds of works they used to practice earlier we're snatched from them because of unavailability of opportunity so they get quota in obcs just like other brahmin castes like bhargav or bairagi brahmin
