Shaista Naz Usta also known as Sabrina, Shaista N. Köseoglu, and Shaï Usta is an American International film actress, businesswoman, makeup artist, influencer, activist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist best known for her debut in title role for the film Main Solah Baras Ki (1998).[1] She was discovered by Bollywood megastar director/actor, Dev Anand to play the lead in the movie Main Solah Baras Ki under Navketan Films, which was the first Bollywood film sponsored by Prince Charles of England through the Princes’ Trust.[2][3] She is also the founder of Make Up & Mission.
Early life
Shaista was born on February 5, 1978, in The Islamic Republic of Northern Pakistan to a Highly Noble, Educated, and Consequential Turkmen•Persian (Afghan’Dhaki’Türkler); she is one of the Usta Artisan Family female Heiress(s), and her son, İskender is one of the primary male Heir(s).
Shaista came to the U.S. as an infant with family in Massachusetts, New York, and Seattle; she grew up in the city of Atlanta, Georgia during her preparatory years. Later, she ventured to Scotland, London, France, and India for over a year, returned back home to the U.S., and moved to Los Angeles, California.
Usta comes from a highly cultivated, and traditionally strict family. Her late father, M.H. Usta was a talented Art Director with a successful Commercial Art Company. He traveled and taught in Spain, Italy, Greece, Cypress, Turkey Egypt, Japan, Moscow, Holland, India, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Cuba.
He won two (2)honors in addition to the medals for his art; he was also honored by the Prime Minister of New Zealand, following another successful achievement, and honored by the Prime Minister of Fiji Islands. After a long and successful career as a commercial artist, Shaista’s father studied to become a Professional Culinary Chef and won several awards and gold medals as an Ice Sculptor-Artist. He went on to become the highest respected, well-recognized, and vastly influential Culinary Art Director, on the Board of the American Culinary Federation(s) of the USA.
Since her childhood and adolescent years, Shaista has had an overwhelming inclination towards the creative arts as she started self-choreographing her dances and competing in dance competitions at a national level regularly.[4] She is the direct relative and great-niece of Shauqat Usmani a famous writer, and communist activist. Shaukat Usmani was actively involved with the Russian government, as a journalist and spy. He was closely working alongside Leonid Brezhnev. Usmani was also the founder and a board chairman of the émigré Communist Party (Tashkent group), in Uzbekistan; later, a founding member of the Communist Party of India (CPI) formed in Kanpur in 1925 and the great-niece of Hisam-ud-din a notable artist who received the highest rank and award "Padam Shri" given by the Republic of India for his craftsmanship in 1987, and she is the lineage of the famous Usta Art family. She studied International Business and Marketing from the American Intercontinental University and went to The University of Houston.
Personal life
She married a Turkish engineer, founder of WIFISPOT, DrTek, and a international businessman in 2007, relocated to Turkey, and eventually separated due to her husband’s brutal abuse and adultery; The U.S. Embassy in Türkey rescued Usta with two broken ribs, a broken arm, and a wrist in the year 2010.
Furthermore, a Hague Petition was filed in 2013 to obtain the retrieval of her son, safeguarding their continual safety and security in the United States; the ex-husband was officially documented by the American Government and Embassy in Turkey for his Domestic Family Violence towards his wife, Shaista, and a United States Hague Petition was filed in the Head of State for child abduction of their son, Iskender. Over ten years of separation due to the abuse and adultery committed with another woman from the Republic of Georgia, whom he has two daughters with. The estranged husband, Mustafa managed to obtain a U.S. green card despite the collapse of Turkish economy, previous charges documented by the U.S. government, and without the wife’s sponsorship;
Shaista filed for a 1.5 million dollar civil divorce lawsuit of abuse, adultery, other crimes committed, and a permanent protective order against the husband as he is the founder of WIFISPOT, and resides in Ataşehir-İstanbul,(Turkey) Turkıye.
Usta who was the Plaintiff, won the Civil Lawsuit in the Superior Court of Georgia (representing herself)in the United States of America, against Mustafa Koseoglu.
The estranged ex-husband is ordered to pay Child Support, Alimony, Prenuptial Agreement, and all other fees for the overall collateral damage in the course of the investigation. Mustafa Koseoglu was given no mutual custody, no physical visitation (virtual childs discretion)rights.
The estranged couple's son, Iskender Köseoglu, obtained a gifted academic scholarship, and is a YouTuber and ESports gamer.[5]
Career
She began her acting career at a very young age through school plays and appeared in the role of Anne Frank in a school play, which became very popular in America. In 1998, she was contacted by Dev Anand to play the lead role in his film Main Solah Baras Ki and it took him three (3) months to convince her father. She had to learn Hindi for the role, because she comes from a Türkic and Persian ethnic origin, who comes from a highly educated, well known, and cultivated strict family; therefore Shaista grew up speaking five languages. After she was cast in the film, Main Solah Baras Ki, Shaista featured in numerous magazines and media including Audrey Magazine, Screen Magazine, Atlanta Journal and also appeared on the cover of the Movie Magazine.[6] After the release of Main Solah Baras Ki in 1998, Shaista decided to return the USA to accomplish her education and she later founded Makeup & Mission.[4]
