In May 1973 a by-election was held in for the Mawthengkut seat of the Legislative Assembly of the Indian state of Meghalaya. The election was won by the Independeant candidate RAISON MAWSOR, won obtained 2,111 votes, whilst the APHLC candidate MAYSALIN WAR got 1,953 votes.[1]
