Tara is the wife of Paundraka Vasudeva and was the great devotee of Lord Krishna. She used to tell Paundraka Vasudeva not to disguise in Krishna's form, but Paundraka Vasudeva used to beat her with a stick for not worshipping her husband as a god.

Legends

Paundraka Vasudeva's wife is unknown in the epic but in some legends people name her as Tara. She was most likely the devotee of Krishna who helped Tara helpfully.

Death of Paundraka Vasudeva

After the death of Paundraka Vasudeva, Tara prayed that

O, Sri Krishna, forgive my husband for doing, thus, I really beg you
