Marriage with Vikarna

Story

King Vasantraja had held a Swayamvara in which his daughters will marry the princes. He invited many princes from other Kingdom's. But he also invited the Kaurava Vikarna and along with Duryodhana for his protection. The two brothers sat on a throne and Duryodhana wanted Indumati to marry Vikarna. Meanwhile, the princess named Indumati came with a garland in her hand and was choosing a prince, when she saw Vikarna she rejected him but Vikarna refused her rejection and held her hands tightly and put the garland on himself and kidnapped her. Duryodhana for his protection defeated all the prince's and went onto the chariot taking Indumati and ran away (Same story like Bhanumati and Mayuri).

Children of Indumati

Durga

She is the first daughter of Vikarna who was married to Karna's son Satyasena. Later, in the retellings it is described that Durga had given birth to 15 girls and 23 boys.

Pushpa

Pushpa is among the second daughter of Vikarna and his wife Indumati. She was married to Duryodhana's son Kaalketu.

Uma

Uma is the third daughter of Vikarna. She was basically married to Karna's son Banasena. In the story of epic Mahabharata, Indumati had 10 daughters but in the author's story it is described she had 3 daughters.

In Wayang Cultures

She is depicted in a puppet form just like a wood puppet. Wayang is mostly made from wood and carved into a puppet like - structure. Indumati is depicted like that. The Kauravas are also mentioned in Wayangs.

Durga's Swayamvara

It was the time when Vikarna held the Swayamvara of his 10 daughters, he invited handsome princes including Karna' sons. The beautiful daughters came coming with a beautiful garland in their hands made the sons of Vikarna and Duryodhana mesmerize. When they came to them (Daughters of Vikarna), the sons of Vikarna and Duryodhana kidnapped them.
