| [[Darbuka Siva]] started working on the music as soon as the scripting was completed. | He later worked on a song which needed a "perspective of a teenage girl in the 90s".The music director felt the music also needed that throwback vibe of the 90s film songs that were made for this sort of a situation, so Siva then came up with the song "Pudhidhaai". Keerthi was chosen to write the song after she had approached the composer over e-mail with her sample lyrics. | "Neel Koadugal" was the fourth song to be produced. Darbuka Siva chose [[Bombay Jayashri]] and Isreali singer Dima El Sayed for the song, which he described it as an ode to time.
