The 2022 season was the 15th season for the IPL cricket franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore.They were one of the ten teams competed in the tournament.[1][2] The team was captained by Virat Kohli with Mike Hesson as a team coach. After qualifying for the playoffs, they were eliminated from the tournament as they were beaten by Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator match.

This was the last season in IPL for AB de Villiers who announced his retirement on 19th November, 2021.
