| Mr. Siva Murugesan joined the Ambedkar People's Movement in 1987 as a grassroots activist and later worked hard for the development of the movement and held the posts of Union Youth, Secretary, Union Under Secretary and Union Secretary. She later served as the District Youth Secretary from 1977-1998. Then in 2003 he took over as Thanjavur district chief. After the demise of Vai. Balasundaram, Siva Murugesan took over as the Organizing Secretary of the State in 2018 for the development of the movement and for the sustainability of the party.In 2019, he took over as the general secretary of the party.
