Born into a prosperous Sikh farming family in the Punjab of India, '''Jagat Singh''' (1884-1951) became a [[Surat Shabd Yoga]] practitioner and initiate of the [[Sant (religion)|Sant]] and [[Radha Soami Satsang Beas]]  [[Satguru|Guru]] [[Sawan Singh]].
