The sacred building is situated on the top of a hillock, in the Hiyangthang region of Manipur.[1][2][3][4][5] The temple, presently, houses three female divinities, who are Irai Leima and Panthoibi of Sanamahism as well as Durga of Shaktism denomination of Hinduism. Thousands of devotees thronged at the holy site during the festival time of Lai Haraoba as well as Durga Puja.[6][7]
