T. Mano Thangaraj is an Indian Tamil politician and the current Minister of Information and Technology of Tamil Nadu.[1] He was elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election in 2016 and 2021 from Padmanabhapuram.[2]
Early life[edit | edit source]
Mano Thangaraj hails from Karungal of Kanyakumari district. He was elected as the district panchayat chairman from 1996 - 2006.[3] He was very much involved in politics right from his college days. He was the students' union chairman of Marthandam Christian College. During his initial years, he has protested against drawing water from the Pechiparai reservoir for the Koodankulam nuclear power plant in 1988.[3]
Social Activities[edit | edit source]
He owns Good Vision Charitable Trust which was working on women, children and sanitation related issues.[4]
