Gajendra Singh Shaktawat (24 May 1973 – 20 January 2021) was an Indian politician and MLA of Vallabhnagar seat, Udaipur, Rajasthan. He was the son of former home minister Gulab Singh Shaktawat.

Early years

Shaktawat was born in the royal house of the thikana of Baansi, near Chittorgarh. He completed his schooling in Udaipur city, at the Bhupal Nobles institution, and graduated from Mohanlal Sukhadia University.

Career

He was elected Member of the Legislative Assembly for Vallabhnagar in 2018 and previously served from 2008 till 2013.

Family

He was married to Preeti Jhala, daughter of Bhagwati Jhala, a prominent BJP leader. They had two daughters and one son.

Death

Shaktawat died of COVID-19.[1][2]
