Jal Manthan was a three-day conference organized to discuss various issues of water conservation in India. It was hosted by the Ministry of Water Resources.[1][2]
The conference sought to obtain feedback from stakeholders such as state and national government officials, civil societies, non-governmental organizations, and water user communities, to make government policies more responsive and accessible. The conference was inaugurated by Union Minister Uma Bharati on 20 November 2014.[2]
