The "Imphal Polo Ground" (Meitei: ꯏꯝꯐꯥꯜ ꯀꯥꯡꯖꯩꯕꯨꯡ, Old Manipuri: ꯏꯝꯐꯥꯜ ꯀꯥꯡꯆꯩꯄꯨꯡ), originally known as the "Mapal Kangjeibung" (Meitei: ꯃꯄꯥꯜ ꯀꯥꯡꯖꯩꯕꯨꯡ, Old Manipuri: ꯃꯄꯥꯜ ꯀꯥꯡꯆꯩꯄꯨꯡ), is the world's oldest polo ground, situated in the heart of Imphal, the metropolis of Manipur. It has its earliest recorded history of existence right from the 15th century BC (3500 years back) in Ancient Manipur (Antique Kangleipak).[1][2][3][4][5]
