Template:Meitei scriptures "Phouoibi Waron" (Meitei: ꯐꯧꯑꯣꯢꯕꯤ ꯋꯥꯔꯣꯟ), also spelt as "Phouoibi Warol" (Meitei: ꯐꯧꯑꯣꯢꯕꯤ ꯋꯥꯔꯣꯜ), is an ancient treatise (puya) of Phouoibi,[1][2] the goddess of paddy in Meitei religion.[3] The account is believed to be written in the historical period between 13th to 14th century AD.[4]

According to the text, the goddess is in love affairs with multiple partners, whom she always departed.[5] She is fickle in nature. She corresponds to Hindu goddess Lakshmi.[6][7]
