Khamnu is one of the characters in the ancient Moirang Kangleirol legends. She is a daughter of Ngangkhaleima and the biological daughter of King Chingkhuba and foster daughter of Khuman Purenba, the prime minister of the kingdom.[1] She is a sister of Khuman Khamba, whom she brought him up, since childhood, after the demise of their parents.
