In 2019, TV actress Shilpa Shinde accused the association of sabotaging her career. Shinde along with former CINTAA member alleged that the committee charges ₹35,000 as membership fees, which is ₹5,000 more, as opposed to the agreed charges of 30,000. She further claimed that CINTAA always turned a deaf ear to complaints regarding serious issues but the general secretary and spokesperson of CINTAA dismissed Shilpa's charges and called them "baseless".
