Ror is an Indian warrior[1]caste found primarily in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In the parts of Baiswara in Uttar Pradesh that are inhabited by Ror people, Rors along with groups such as the Chauhans and Tomars are associated with Delhi and its outskirts.[2]
Occupation and culture
The Ror are mainly agriculturists; animal husbandry is also practised. Some have taken up jobs in organized sectors.[3][4]
At Karnal, Ror Mahasabha[5] functions to bring about social reforms. The majority of them are Hindu but some follow Sikhism. The influence of Arya Samaj is also reported. Holi and Diwali are the major festivals celebrated.[6][4]
