Sait was born to Mohammed Sulaiman and Zainab Bai on 3rd November, 1922 at [[Bangalore]].<ref name=":0" /><ref name=":1" /> He obtained his [[Bachelor of Arts]] under-graduate degree from [[St. Joseph's College, Bangalore]].<ref name=":0" />


He was one of the founding fathers of [[All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat]].<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.mushawarat.com/intro.asp|title=Introduction – All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat website|accessdate=6 September 2008}}</ref> He was its Secretary for a period. He was the founding general secretary of the All India Palestine Conference. He co-founded the [[All India Muslim Personal Law Board]], which was formed in 1972 to protect the Muslim law in India. Similarly he was the first president of the All India Milli Council, which was formed in May 1992. Babri Masjid Movement Co-ordination Committee was also co-founded by Sait. Besides, he was a constant member of many organisations like the Central Hajj Committee, Hajj Advisory Council, Aligarh Muslim University Court etc. He was also a member of the [[National Integration Council]] and [[Central Wakf Council|Central Waqf Council]].
He married Mariyam Bai, from [[Mattancherry]], in 1949.<ref name=":1" />

Ebrahim Sulaiman Sait (1922 – 2005), known as "Mehboob-e-Millat" , was an Indian politician, born in Bangalore in a Cutchi Memon family, who served as an Indian Union Muslim League Member of Parliament from northern Kerala several times.[1][2] He was also a founding member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board.

In 1994, while serving as its National President, Sait severed ties with the Indian Union Muslim League and formed the Indian National League.[3][4]

Early life[edit | edit source]

Sait was born to Mohammed Sulaiman and Zainab Bai on 3rd November, 1922 at Bangalore.[1][2] He obtained his Bachelor of Arts under-graduate degree from St. Joseph's College, Bangalore.[1]

He married Mariyam Bai, from Mattancherry, in 1949.[2]
