APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, formerly known as Kerala Technological University (KTU), is a state owned public university headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital of Kerala, India. History[edit]
In 2014 May, KTU was established by the government of Kerala through an Ordinance.[2] Kuncheria P. Isaac, a former Member Secretary of the All India Council for Technical Education was appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor of the Kerala Technological University, and M. Abdul Rahman, former All India Council for Technical Education Director, was appointed as the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university.[3]
