In December 2000 with chairman Mustafa Bin Kasem and a group of 107 held a committee and they nomenclatured in the name of [[martyr]] [[Saheed Nurul Islam]] who was a boy-martyr in the late 1970s. At the first it faced to some financial problems. Gradually by some lovers of education the college had come to a suitable stage and on 14th Aug, 2001 started its new academic year for 2001-02. On 1st Jul 2003 principal Dr. Anowar Hossain attended for permanent here. In the presence of Honourable higher education minister of the Left front Government Sri [[Satya Sadhan Chakraborty]] of [[West Bengal]], its building erection was started on March 8, 2001 around 3 p.m. and a few days later Govt of W.B approved under [[University of Calcutta]].
