Moorkoth Kumaran (1874–1941)[1] was a social reformer, a teacher and a prominent short story writer in Malayalam.[2]
Kumaran came from a respected wealthy Thiyya family of Thalassery, Kannur. He was a disciple of Narayana Guru and wrote the first biography of Guru. He has initiated to install first statue of Narayana Guru in Kerala when he was alive.[3][4]
