Dr.Narayan Singh Bhati (1930– 18 April 1994) was a prominent writer in Rajasthani language. His son is Girdhar Gopal Singh Bhati and his grandson is Jaiwant Singh Bhati.
Works[edit]
He was the founder and director of Rajasthani Research Institute based at Chopasani Jodhpur since 1955 until 1993. He was deeply involved in preservation of old Rajasthani literature.[1]
His works include Meeran, Sanjh, Paramvir, Olun, Jivan Dhan, Sources of Socio-Economic History of Rajasthan and Malwa (1700-900AD).
Awards[edit]
He has been awarded by Sahitya Akademi, Delhi for his poetry Barsan Ra Degoda Dungar Langhiyan in 1981.[2] He has also been awarded by the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi's Prithviraj Prize.[3] He received the Padma Shri in the year 2010.[4]
