Mirza Baqar Ali, A Rebel Against Alivardi Allied With Marathas And Captured Orissa And Parts Of Bengal After Imprisoning The Nawab's Governor And His Family. In August he after joining the Marathas marched from Karnatak, returned to Orissa, captured Cuttack by a sudden attack, made its worthless and unpopular governor and and his entire family prisoners, and seized the government of the province.[1][2][3]
