Hugh Bowden is a British Historian and he was lecturer in Ancient History at King’s College London and an expert on ancient religion. He teaches a popular postgraduate course on mystery cults in the Greek and Roman worlds. He has published numerous articles on Greek religion and history and is the author of Classical Athens and the Delphic Oracle: Divination and Democracy.
He supervised PhDs on a wide range of topics, in particular involving aspects of Greek religion.
