He was born in 1935 in [[Marancheri]], Malappuram district to Ahmedunni Muslyar and Mariakutty. He educated at Tirurangadi Yatheenkhana, M.I.High School Ponnani and [[Farook College]]. He obtained his Master's degree in Psychology from Madras Presidency College in 1958.
