Prokash Karmakar (Malayalam: പ്രകാശ് കർമാകർ; 1933 – 24 February 2014) was a preeminent Indian artist and painter. His work is in the permanent collection of a number of museums and galleries all over India, including the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi. He was born in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Karmakar died from an illness on 24 February 2014. He was 81 years old.[1]
