Mazhaneerthullikal, also spelled Mazhaneer Thullikal (English: Raindrops) is an unreleased Malayalam revenge-drama film directed by V. K. Prakash, starring Meera Jasmine, Narain, Ajmal Ameer, and Mythili in the lead roles. The film is based on the novel, Shraddha Shesham, penned by K. V. Mohan Kumar. The filming was completed in July 2013.[1][2]

Plot[edit]

The story is set in a period post the Kuwait war, and the-then Kerala society also had its repercussions. The protagonist of the film, Aparna who was a journalist with a newspaper quits her profession owing to ideological conflicts. The estranged woman who leaves her home undergoes many experiences, and is even drawn to spirituality at a point. The crux of the film is when she returns to her home when a person close to her is murdered. Her mission thereafter is to hunt down the killer and so, she probes into the issue.

Music[edit]

The soundtrack of the film are composed by Ouseppachan.[3] The songs are penned by K. V. Mohankumar. Ouseppachan, the music composer of the film, has sung one song, while Bini Krishnakumar has sung the other song.
