Japan Landa Imphal (Meitei: ꯖꯄꯥꯟ ꯂꯥꯟꯗ ꯏꯝꯐꯥꯜ, romanized: ja-paan laan-da eem-phaal, lit. 'Imphal in the Japanese war') is a 2012 Indian Meitei Manipuri language historical romantic fiction film, produced by Chandam Shyamcharan Singh.[1][2][3] The storyline is based on the romance between a Meitei girl and a Japanese soldier during the Battle of Imphal, a World War II event in Manipur.[4]
