Use either of these two ways:
Articles that use {{tl|Copyexempt}} instead of the topic lists are registered automatically in [[:Category:Copyexempt]]:

# Add {{tl|Copyexempt}} to the article (the top of the page is recommended). The article is then registered automatically in [[:Category:Copyexempt]] and appears in the automatic register below.
# Or add the article name to the central list below, one name per line, in this form: <code><nowiki>* [[Article name]]</nowiki></code>. Keep the name between the two list marker comments, exactly as the article is titled.

To remove an exemption, remove the template from the article, or remove its name from the central list.

The rule[edit source]

  • New articles (created on or after 2 November 2026, directly in the main namespace or by moving a draft) show the plain line automatically. Nothing needs to be added anywhere.
  • Copied articles that have not been edited since they were imported or copied from another encyclopedia keep the extra line, and should keep it:
This article may use material from the Wikipedia article (article name), which is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (view authors).
  • Copied articles that have been edited become exempt once their name is registered on the topic page for their subject below (or once {{Copyexempt}} is added to the article). Their footer then changes to the plain Bharatpedia line.

Topic pages[edit source]

Register an edited article on the page for its topic. Add its name between the two list marker comments on that page, one name per line, in this form: * [[Article name]], exactly as the article is titled.

Template register[edit source]

Articles that use {{Copyexempt}} instead of the topic lists are registered automatically in Category:Copyexempt:
