History

The Company was incorporated in 1969. Formerly, it was known as RIR International Rectifier Ltd. In 1969, Ruttonsha got into a joint venture with International Rectifier of Los Angles, U.S.A., for manufacture of semiconductors and so the present Company began in an annexe of "International House".[1]

Background

RIR Power Electronics has held a distinctive position as the sole company in India engaged in the manufacturing of power semiconductor components, value-added subsystems, and systems for over 54 years.RIR is now embarking on the next technological frontier in Power Electronics by setting up the entire Ecosystem of manufacturing facilities in India for SiC (Silicon Carbide) based Compound Semiconductor.[2]
